Launches Intensive Erasmus+ CBHE Workshop for 2026

Innovative Research and Computational Science Lab in collaboration with the Office of Research Administration, Chiang Mai University (CMU) is advancing to the global stage by hosting an intensive workshop to prepare for the Erasmus+ CBHE 2026 funding call. 

The “Intensive Workshop for Preparing for the Targeted Erasmus+ Capacity Building Grant Fund in HEIs 2026” took place on 18 June 2025 at the VIP1 Room, Office of the University, CMU. The aim was to equip faculty members and researchers with essential knowledge and skills for submitting successful Erasmus+ CBHE proposals in 2026, and to strengthen sustainable international academic collaboration.

The event was honored by the presence of Mr. Thammanoon Nuamanong, Deputy Director of the University Office, who officially opened the workshop. Seventeen researchers—selected for their outstanding potential and interest in developing international collaborative projects—participated from across various faculties.

The workshop focused on building core competencies required for Erasmus+ CBHE applications, including understanding project structure, proposal design, budget management, and international partnership building. The sessions were led by:

• Asst. Prof. Dr. Pattaraporn Khuwuthyakorn
• Ms. Sirin Tokhew 

Additional project team members included Asst. Prof. Dr. Achara Kamasorn and Asst. Prof. Dr. Uraiwan Hanwong from the Faculty of Education.

• Introduction to Erasmus+ funding opportunities and partnership strategies
• Techniques for crafting competitive project proposals
• Group-based preliminary proposal drafting
• Development of project logic frameworks and impact planning
• Presentation of draft proposals with expert feedback
• Showcase of working ideas including INNO4Tour, Tourism Zero, and ASTRA projects

This workshop marks a significant step forward for CMU in empowering its staff to access international research funding and become integral members of the global higher-education community.
