The collaboration between the research group and the MIT Jameel Clinic began with a discussion between Prof. Regina and the CMU team about breast cancer research.

As breast cancer is a prevalent concern with a high chance of occurrence in Thai women and women worldwide, the research group is committed to developing diagnostic tools that can detect the disease in its early stages to improve the chances of successful treatment. The collaboration with the MIT Jameel Clinic and the Health Innovation Center at the Faculty of Medicine, Chiang Mai University, has resulted in a cooperation network research agreement between institutions that focus on artificial intelligence for cancer diagnosis.
